Travel to NYC. If you plan on driving, parking will be a major expense, with hotels chaging $50/day for parking. It is much easier to get around NYC by foot, public transportation like buses and subways, or by taxi than by driving around. The three airports that serve the city are LaGuardia, JFK, and Newark. LaGuardia is probably the most convenient. Expect to pay around $300 for a round trip ticket to LaGuardia.
